Grobèk – Toucan – To Djol – Guyane

Inspiré du toucan à bec rouge, notre Grobèk chante fièrement perché à la cime des arbres. Son cri résonne dans toute la forêt amazonienne. En créole, “Grobèk”, un nom bien trouvé : son bec peut atteindre la moitié de son corps et lui sert aussi à réguler sa température.

Inspired by the red-billed toucan, our Grobèk sings loudly from the treetops. Its call echoes throughout the Amazon rainforest. In Creole, “Grobèk” means “big beak” — an apt name, since its bill can measure up to half its body and helps regulate its temperature.
